Science has shown that patients with Chronic Fatigue have a malfunctioning immune system. In many cases there is an underlying autoimmune disease or reaction that is a major source of the problem. This means that the immune system has essentially began attacking the very body it is supposed to defend. Often times, the chronic fatigue patient is not directly diagnosed with a specific autoimmune disease but those reactions are there. These autoimmune reactions can be measured if the doctor runs the proper tests.

The immune system can be balanced, but it requires the knowledge of special immune panels. Most doctors do not order the necessary immune panels because they either: A) don’t know they exist or B) wouldn’t know how to interpret the tests if they did order them.

These immune tests look at the specific sub-populations of your T-Cells, B-Cells, Natural Killer Cells, T-Suppressor Cells, and T-Helper Cells. By functionally looking at the relationships between these cells, a practice called functional immunology, very specific information can be gleaned. Combing this knowledge with immune dominance patterns, as measured by cytokine dominances, it is possible to turn a chronic fatigue patients around one hundred and eighty degrees.

The key to truly helping Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is looking at EVERYTHING, ALL AT ONCE. Looking at the immune patterns mentioned above, while also measuring gastrointestinal function, blood sugar and adrenal balance, brain and nervous system function, hormone balance, and liver detox capabilities, is the key to getting a complete picture of the problem.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a complicated condition. It’s complexity is the reason most patients don’t get the help they need in the traditional medical model. The symptom presentation may be the result of five subtle shifts in various body systems that equate to the symptoms of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Individually these shifts may be clinically insignificant, but when they occur all at once, it is a major problem for the patient. Traditionally the Western Medical Model ignores all of these subtle shifts, and instead leaves the patient with a diagnosis that essentially means you are always tired, but they don’t know why.

Symptoms of anxiety attacks include irritable bowel syndrome as often as depression, therefore they are difficult to diagnose. Stress is a part of daily life for most people, which is one of the major contributing factors to this disorder. Though a person may only experience physical symptoms of anxiety attacks when stress is high, the less noticeable effects are always there. It is important to note the natural instinct of humans to react for the sake of survival, thus creating a platform for this disease. Some factors creating this platform include money, work, relationships, self-esteem, and even diet. Support both professionally and personally is a definite road to success.

Many characteristics are linked to extreme levels of worry and concern. Telltale signs include a constant feeling of inadequacy creating the desperate need to do better, bodily and emotional withdrawal, and inactivity even in solitude. If symptoms of anxiety attacks occur for an extended period of time depression, drug abuse, alcoholism, and thoughts of suicide may occur. Quick response with lifestyle changes, medication, and support should be sought in a timely fashion in order to avoid these effects. Some symptoms include shortness of breath, heart irregularities, chest pain, dizziness, fear of losing control, rapid temperature changes, and shaking. In addition, stomach aches, diarrhea, insomnia, and headaches may occur. Emotional effects may include lack of concentration or memory, irritability, confusion, insecurity, fear of dying, and desire to escape. If someone seems to have these characteristics, caringly show interest in their happiness. Most people are simply waiting for someone to reach out to them. The initial reaction may be negative, but patience will prove to be beneficial in the long run. “In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.” (Psalm 138:3)

Dietary changes can help decrease or eliminate characteristics of unneeded worry and concern. Elevated salt intake, excess refined sugar consumptions, and lack of vitamins can all lead to physical symptoms of anxiety attacks which lead to constant worry about other areas of life. If material health is failing, more effort is required to sustain optimal health. The introduction of Omega-3 fatty acid and increased vitamin C boosts many areas of the body towards wellness, which in turn lowers stress. In addition to healthy food consumption and a regular exercise program, the evaluation of current environment reveals many contributing factors including stress produced by family, chemicals, genetics, and personality. Because all the symptoms are the same as for other diseases, misdiagnosis is common. However, the onset of disease can cause physical symptoms of anxiety, which may need to be treated with medication. These diseases include thyroid disorders, diabetes, hypoglycemia, asthma, sleep disorders, adrenal disorders, epilepsy, heart disease, migraines, and certain psychiatric illnesses. Careful analysis of the underlying problem is crucial for quick and effective treatment. The administration of medication should be a last resort when dietary changes, exercise, and environmental changes don’t work. Medication sometimes only treated the effect and not the cause, thus the problem is never solved. In addition, some medication actually causes increased physical symptoms of anxiety including illegal drugs, caffeine, decongestants, steroids, weight loss pills, hormones, respiratory medication, some herbal remedies, blood pressure medication, and Ritalin. Though brain chemistry is sometimes a factor, which cannot be changed, the incidence of trauma is also a factor in the diagnosis of this disease.

Certain factors in life create the environment for disease and stress. These factors can be handed down from generation to generation due to mindset, mental awareness, and education. Misdiagnosed or untreated physical symptoms of anxiety can lead to mitral valve prolapse, chronic fatigue syndrome, sleep apnea, irritable bowel syndrome, and chronic tension headaches. This disease works both ways: it causes other diseases and other diseases cause it. Therefore the treatment of any abnormality with the body is crucial to over all wellness. Finding a good doctor that is current to treatments and conditions as well as open to a variety of treatment is important to proper diagnosis and wellness. If no ailment is found; seeking the help of therapist may be effective in managing symptoms of anxiety attacks. In addition to therapy, lifestyle changes, and medication, herbal remedies may aid in healing and wellness. Specifically valerian root and kava kava have traditionally been used to fight symptoms, however insufficient data showing its effectiveness keeps it from being suggested. When used with synthetic drugs, herbal remedies may have adverse effects, which could make the whole situation worse.

Talk to a doctor about the drugs and herbs that can be safely taken together. Some natural treatments not affected by the use of synthetic drugs include relaxation, meditation, and biofeedback. Exercising regularly, adequate sleep, and healthy diet are crucial to ward off infection and disease whether it is caused by symptoms associated with anxiety or untreated symptoms cause the disease. Fresh food instead of canned or otherwise processed will eliminate unneeded chemicals and preservative in the body creating a better chance of wellness. Likewise, diets high in fruits and vegetables and low in sugar and meat will strengthen all major systems of the body, which in turn fight off disease. Creating a support system including family, friends, people with similar problems, and professionals will increase a persons chances of complete healing and continual overall wellness. This may include concentration on building self-esteem, learning a new skill, or getting involved in a new activity, but mainly confidence building words said to the person.

The advocacy of detox diet is to cleanse the body of toxins from environmental factors, smoking, drinking tap water and beverages and from the additives of some foods. Weight loss happens easily when the body is cleansed of these poisons. With detox diet, there is no need for colon cleansers like colonics, which can also cleanse even the good bacteria.

Supporters of Detox diet claimed that they did not only experience weight loss; they also have healthier skin, lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol level and a relief from chronic fatigue syndrome. These are not impossible to achieve for with detox, dieters are admonished to avoid consumption of alcohol and caffeine, smoking and using illegal drugs. Also foods such as animal meats, processed and some supplements are discouraged.

What detox diet allows are foods and drinks that are organic, whole foods -like nuts, seeds and grains-that have not undergone processing, fruits and vegetables, several herbs and 2 liters of water everyday. There are several approaches in starting a detox diet. The most aggressive is when the dieter is asked to go on fasting for three days. Only drinking purified water is allowed to enter the body, solid foods and other beverages are not. After the three-day fasting, one week of eating only fruits followed, after which, 30 days of eating raw foods-mostly mixed fruits is recommended.

Most detoxifying diets include:

1. Raw food diet - that adheres to eating uncooked and half-cooked foods
2. 21 pounds in 21 days
3. Diuretic diet - that uses natural diuretics to fight fluid retention
4. Fat Flush Toilet - this is a three-phase diet plan created by Ann Gittleman
5. Lemonade diet - also known as the master cleanser designed by Stanley Burroughs
6. Liver Cleansing Diet - a book published by Dr. Cabot
